Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for Toronto, advising of possible significant rainfall from Saturday morning to Sunday morning. The federal agency stated that showers and thunderstorms are expected to develop over southwestern Ontario before moving into the Greater Golden Horseshoe in the afternoon. Toronto could see up to 50 millimetres of rain due to the potential for slow-moving showers, thunderstorms, and multiple rounds of precipitation affecting some areas.

Additionally, a heavy rainfall, thunderstorm, and potential flash flood warning has been issued for the Niagara region, parts of Hamilton, and Haldimand County by the Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority.
